To affiliate to Leeds Tenants Federation
we ask residents groups to show that they are representative and
accountable and that they are actively working for improvements
in their community.
When a residents group becomes affiliated
we will ask them to provide details of the distinct area or community
they represent and a copy of their constitution or terms of reference.
We ask them to give a signed undertaking that their committee was
elected at a publicly advertised meeting.
We expect our affiliates to consult their
membership and to report back regularly; to try to represent their
membership in all its diversity and to follow their constitution
or terms of reference.
Affiliated groups can access special
Leeds Tenants Federation services including a freephone advice line,
free photocopying for newsletters, access to funding, regular information
mailings, guides and handbooks.
