Membership of Leeds Tenants Federation
is open to tenants and residents groups and to individual tenants
representatives. To join we ask new members to show that they are
representative and accountable and that they are actively working
for improvements in their community.
When a new group or representative joins
we will ask them to provide details of the distinct area or community
they represent and a copy of their constitution or terms of reference.
We ask them to give a signed undertaking that their committee was
elected at a publicly advertised meeting / or that they have the
support of their community as an individual representative.
We expect our members to consult their
membership and to report back regularly; to try to represent their
membership in all its diversity and to follow their constitution
or terms of reference.
Members can access special Leeds Tenants
Federation services including a freephone advice line, free photocopying
for newsletters, access to funding, regular information mailings,
guides and handbooks, and the right to vote and to nominate a candidate
for election to Leeds Tenants Federation Managment Committee.
