Leeds
Tenants Federation is campaigning and leading projects on a series
of issues of major concern to tenants and residents.
Tenant-led
STATUS survey
For the first time ever, a tenants federation
is carrying out the statutory survey on behalf of its landlord
Tenant-led
Stock Options
Leeds Tenants Federation is embarking
on a series of promotional conferences and discussion to ensure
residents are aware of the possibilities of tenant management and
tenant control
Fair
Rents and Decent Homes
Social housing is getting unaffordable
with rents out of reach of ordinary working people. We are campaigning
for fairer rents.
Right
to Rent campaign
We are running The
Right to Rent campaign to lobby for more social rented housing.
Access
to housing
We are lobbying for improvements in
the operation of lettings policies and promoting tenant involvement
in lettings through our meet'n'greet
initiative.
Anti-social
behaviour
We are calling for more preventative
measures to tackle anti-social behaviour and more support to help
residents to take a stand.
Tenant-led
Regulation
We run an innovative cross-tenure
Mystery Shopping programme, a Tenant Talk-Back programme of satisfaction
surveys and we annually survey tenants and residents groups to check
how much housing organisations are involving them and to see what
they think of Leeds Tenants Federation services.
Equality
and diversity
We are leading a Yorkshire-wide partnership
to involve young people in communities and we have set ourselves
stretching targets for the inclusion of Black and Minority Ethnic
residents and younger people.
