How to become an affiliated group

To affiliate to Leeds Tenants Federation we ask residents groups to show that they are representative and accountable and that they are actively working for improvements in their community.

When a residents group becomes affiliated we will ask them to provide details of the distinct area or community they represent and a copy of their constitution or terms of reference. We ask them to give a signed undertaking that their committee was elected at a publicly advertised meeting.

We expect our affiliates to consult their membership and to report back regularly; to try to represent their membership in all its diversity and to follow their constitution or terms of reference.

Affiliated groups can access special Leeds Tenants Federation services including a freephone advice line, free photocopying for newsletters, access to funding, regular information mailings, guides and handbooks.
