Preston Community Gateway

Preston Community Gateway was the first of the new co-operatively run housing associations to be created out of stock transfer ballots. Tenants have a majority on the management board, a tenant scrutiny board monitors their work and tenants are voting members of the association. The distinctive aspect of the organisation is the commitment to hold a community option study for every neighbourhood, promoting further options for community control.
