Meeting the Needs? Choice & Lettings in Leeds
Over 120 residents attended Leeds Tenants Federation's conference in October to debate the issues around Choice Based Lettings.
As a result of the conference 88% felt better informed about the Lettings Policy and Choice Based Lettings and 100% felt they had been able to express their views.
Key speakers included Ninesh Muthiah, head of the London Home Connections lettings partnership and Victoria Carrahar, Shelter Campaigns Officer. Frances Walker from the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister gave the government's plans for the future of Choice Based Lettings and there were workshops on preventing homelessness and tenant invovlement in lettings.
