Spreading Good Practice

Leeds Tenants Federation works across 10 different social landlords and one of its aims is to spread good practice in resident involvement.
Tenant Involvement Workers Network
We organise a bi-monthly meeting of Tenant Involvement staff from all social landlords. Each meeting is focused on a key topic, and housing organisations exchange information with each other and Leeds Tenants Federation.
Leeds Tenants Federation is currently pursuing a trail-blazing good practice project:
Tenant Involvement in Lettings
Leeds Tenants Federation is rolling out a strategy to involve tenants in lettings. We aim to embed the practice in all the landlords we works with. The Meet and Greet scheme enables trained tenants to meet prospective tenants at accompanied viewings, to give them a guide to the local area, promote the property, while acting as their champion in the lettings process and reinforcing behavioural expectations.
