Elections to Management Board

Leeds Tenants Federation elects its Management Board by a postal ballot of members. Half the Management Board stands for election each year. This ensures some continuity in the governance of the organisation.

Nomination papers are sent to all members giving them the opportunity to stand for election. They are asked to write a short statement about why they want to stand and they are invited to a formal interview to ensure that they are eligible to stand. Details of all candidates are then sent out to the membership with a ballot form.

In 2009 ballot papers were sent to all individual members on 11 May and 127 completed ballot papers were returned by the deadline of 5 June. They were counted on 8 June by Leeds Tenants Federation staff. The results were announced at the Annual General Meeting and can be seen below.

Due to the sad loss of Elizabeth Brannan there are now 9 candidates for 10 places so you are asked to endorse the election of all candidates.
